Palm Beach Jem

This cart design came about out of boredom one day to be quite honest. It was a potential client and redesigning their site was thrown around, and I had an opening and some ideas in my head and I just wanted to see how they went down on paper.

Obviously I went for the full beach look, bright colors etc. The two things I really wanted to work were the palm tree over the navigation, and the beach photo background. I really think I pulled both of those off and got them to fit naturally in the frame of a shopping site.

The body of the homepage design is oriented more towards internal display ads, and features a dual skinny column on the side. I felt like it was a bit of a departure from my de facto cart homepage layout, and because of that it’s become a design I really enjoy.
